Pratyahara - the 5th limb of the eight limbs in Patanjali yoga sutra

This is about withdrawal of senses from the outside world, ie turning all senses inward to prepare a person for meditation.


We can practise this concept in a broader perspective.


Whenever something happen in life and we are triggered, instead of putting the focus on others and blaming others, we can turn inward and see what's happening inside. Because if there is no issue inside, nothing can trigger us.


感官收攝 (Pratyahara) - 是 Patanjali 瑜伽8支的第5支


感官收攝的意思是將我們的感官 (五感)向內收攝,令它不受外界影響,好讓我們專注,進入冥想的狀態。


我們可以將這練習放在日常生活上。


每當我們被觸發時,比如說我們生氣,妒忌...我們先不要將矛頭指向别人,外在的人事物只是一個觸發點,我們可以向內看看,看看我們內在有什麼狀況呢。


因為往往是我們的自身問題,而引致我們對某些人事物生起反應。

如果內在沒有任何狀況,那無論外間發生什麼事情,我們也不會受到影響。
