Empty vessels make the most noise

When I was young, in my English class, whenever we were talking to each other and making noises, the teacher would say "Empty vessels make the most noise"...
I understand where she is coming from...
We can also look at it from a completely different perspective...
If we want to learn, we need to empty ourselves first, because if we are too full of ourselves, too full of "I know", too much fear, too much stress, too many thoughts, don't like the teacher...how can we learn?
It's only when we are empty, knowledge can flow through us smoothly without distortion and stay well in our memory.
